Is online hypnosis for you?
Can you see yourself getting hypnotized over a zoom conference call? It’s happening every day but is it worth the time?
- Will you experience the same benefits?
- What can you expect from a session?
- How do you know if the practitioner is credible and safe to work with, or if they’re just hunting for unguarded wallets to sell to?
- What should you look out for when considering an online hypnotist’s credentials?
Looking for hypnosis sessions online can be a gamble because you often don’t know much about the person you’re trusting with your mind.
And wait, before we get that far does hypnosis online even work?
As long as you can hear the sound of the hypnotherapist’s voice and or see their lips moving, hypnosis will work for you online.
This is because the general principles of hypnosis are still applicable when delivered in a recording or online.
However, the effectiveness of sessions can be increased or decreased depending on the skill of the hypnotist.
How do you experience the same benefits with online hypnosis?
It seems counter-intuitive that online hypnosis can work just as well as in-person, but the reason has to you with you.
This is because all hypnosis is self-hypnosis. The hypnotist’s role is to guide you into a trance state, then encourage and suggest to you while you’re in hypnosis.
But it’s your subconscious and sometimes unconscious mind that’s doing the actual work of change inside of you.
So, suppose the hypnotherapist can skillfully guide you. In that case, online hypnosis will be just as effective as an in-person visit.
But because of the internet’s global reach, you might find a hypnotherapist who is less skilled for online work.
You have to take a few things into consideration.
- Their overall skill-set
- Are they set up for online work?
- Will, they still be around the day tomorrow?
Your hypnotherapist’s level of skill is more than the certificates and what organizations they belong to
Don’t get me wrong, having a hypnotherapy (c.Ht) certification is a must.
And you learn so much from networking with different therapists that joining a professional hypnosis group in your area is a great idea too.
But there’s nothing like experience and an open mind.
Hypnosis is unlike any other learned skill on Earth because all the learning is through the subconscious/unconscious mind.
So the hypnotist is really a guide helping you walk the path to a solution. They need to have the experience of knowing when to guide you and when to let your subconscious go on its own.
A subpar online setup is no longer acceptable in hypnotherapy.
Post-2020 Covid, there is no excuse for your hypnotist to have not sound-treated their working space.
We’re not talking about ripping up the home office and installing a music studio. A decent sound treatment only costs a few hundred dollars and far less if you DIY it.
Sometimes when making a hypnosis recording track, you want some reverb or maybe an echo just at the right time. Those are nice touches to have in a recording.
But it’s highly distracting when those noises are coming from untreated walls in your home. And now they’re blasting discordant noises through your laptop speakers or earbuds as you’re trying to go deeper into hypnosis.
Not a pleasant experience.
The video aspect is more forgiving. But suppose your hypnotherapist is doing the video from their kitchen table. In that case, you may want to reconsider and work with someone more professional.
You also need to make sure they have a secured website that won’t compromise your financial information when you pay them.
And this speaks to my last point.
Will this hypnotherapist be around long-term?
You’re looking for longevity. How long has the site been up? If they are local to you, did they have a practice before they went online?
You can find quality hypnotists who are all online and always have been.
There’s no problem with just an online presence. You just want to know that the website will be there next day next month next year.
Can I learn hypnosis online?
What’s nice about learning hypnosis online is that you can practice and learn at your own pace with the help of a professional Certified Clinical hypnotherapist.
No travel is needed; you learn entirely online, and it works just as well as if you’re there.
Before becoming a certified hypnotherapist, I learned hypnosis and self-hypnosis online from people who lived in another country.
Using online hypnosis, I quit smoking cigarettes, got over a nasty break-up, and resolved an annoying habit of being late to every appointment I had.
This happened from 2009 to around the end of 2010. After that, I was hooked. My hope is that you can enjoy a similar experience.
We all have nagging habits we would like to resolve and improvements we feel we need to make.
It’s all a part of the striving aspect of being human. And hypnosis can help you make those improvements and create those good habits that last.
There’s also the benefit of learning hypnosis online in a stress-free, relaxed environment called home. It’s the most convenient setup there is.
I was an online student of multiple programs from self-hypnosis to lucid dream, energy work, and astral travel for years.
For the most part, the courses delivered on their promises. I was doing hypnosis on myself, friends, family, and strangers, not to mention having lucid dreams and even a few OBE’s (out of body experience)
I never left my home to take one class until years later
And you know what? For the most part, the live classes weren’t any better than the online training.
Sometimes worst depending on who you were stuck in a live class with. Not having to deal with other people can also be a significant benefit of learning hypnosis online.
If you want to work with clients, you will have to work directly with other people regularly.
However, when you’re learning, you may enjoy being able to focus on what’s being said and shown instead of looking over someone else’s head.
Also, if you need to “hear that part again,” you can repeat as much as you need to.
As a student and a trainer of over 13,000 people online and in-person, I know that online hypnosis works and is easy to learn.
Some people were skeptical, but after learning how the process works, they were pleasantly surprised, and their results were excellent.
But if you think I’m going to promote one of my courses to you now, you may be in for a surprise.
You see, my work is more on the metaphysical side of hypnosis, and for now, it’s better that you see regular hypnosis working for you over the internet.
And if you can learn that skill for free, even better. The course that link takes you to is from the fine people at hypnosis downloads.com
It’s one of the most complete professional, free courses on hypnosis that you will find on the internet, and No, they do not flood your email with crap.
I’ve used them for years, and now you can get a chance to experience online hypnosis for yourself with no fees and no risk.
