They can guide your subconscious mind with gentle suggestions that cause no controversy with your conscious thinking.

You may be going to the wrong hypnotherapist for you.
I’m not talking about preferring different hypnotherapy techniques over other ones. No, I mean the hypnotherapists themselves.
The process of Hypnosis is so straightforward that it’s easy to get confused by the many ways hypnotherapy is used to achieve outcomes.
Some therapists focus on relaxation using guided imagery. Others focus on visualization, where a person imagines things like seeing colors or hearing sounds.
They will all use positive affirmation in the form of posthypnotic suggestions to make changes happen faster. And then, there’s the clinical hypnotherapist who will combine several approaches into one therapy session.
All of these methods are helpful and valuable tools for achieving specific outcomes. Still, if the sound of their voice disturbs you, your experience of Hypnosis will suffer.
The process can still be used as a therapeutic tool. Because you’re so focused on how unpleasant your practitioner sounds that they can install a few posthypnotic suggestions that sink into your subconscious.
So you can still get results working with someone who you may find annoying but do want to feel that way every time you see them?

Use Self-Hypnosis to reach a trance-like state on your own
Doing Hypnosis on yourself is, in my opinion, the best way to go because you are not wholly relying on one hypnotherapist to work out for you.
Also, since you will be taking yourself through the hypnotic experience, you control when you go into a deep state. You also control how deep you go and when you come back from it.
So as you can see, Self-hypnosis gives you more freedom than traditional hypnotherapy sessions since you have complete control over the entire process.
You decide exactly which parts of yourself you would like to change and how long each section should last.
And compared to traditional hypnotherapy, Self-hypnosis hardly takes any training to learn a few simple techniques.
If you’ve ever tried meditation before, this might seem familiar to you. It works very similarly, except instead of focusing on something outside of yourself, you concentrate on changing certain aspects of your inner being.
In fact, it’s my argument that meditation and the practice of Hypnosis are one and the same. But with self-hypnosis, you get the best of both worlds.
Is Self-hypnosis as efficient as clinical hypnotherapy?
Probably not, but that’s not due to them being better, just more experience.
Keep in mind you don’t need to be certified to work on yourself. This is all in the area of personal development. So keep it simple. All you need to do is find a way to get into a state of deep relaxation.
Once there, give yourself prepared posthypnotic suggestions.
Then repeat the heck out of it.
By repeat, I mean both repetitions as an activity during Hypnosis as well.
This is the most effective treatment you can give yourself, especially when starting out. Because even if you are not led to your solution right away, your subconscious and unconscious minds will point you in the direction you need to go.
